The Weekend Mix is a new feature on Shock which has been curated and designed to gear listeners up for the weekend with 15 minutes of the biggest dance and party anthems. These will usually contain 5-6 songs, mixed together to 'bring the energy', and will feature a variety of tracks, past and present.

There are two new mixes uploaded to Zetta each week, one to be played out on Friday and one for Saturday. These can be found in the 'Mixes' tab in the Zetta library.

<aside> 🕺 If the mixes tab isn't showing up when you look for it in Zetta, click the plus (+) icon to add a tab and select 'Mixes'. You may need to enter an asterix (*) in the search bar at the top to refresh the page.

Running orders for the mixes will be sent to the Shock announcements feed on WhatsApp before Friday each week and they will also be updated on the Notion weekly. These contain a comprehensive list of the tracks included in the mix, as well as back timings of when there is space between the songs should you wish to talk and present a short link.

<aside> 🕺 All mixes will open with a Weekend Mix jingle so be careful about talking over the start of it.

Ideally, Breakfast & Drivetime shows on a Friday and Saturday should be playing out the mix as a regular feature. If your show falls on a Sunday, you’re more than welcome to give either of the mixes a spin also. Please also be sure to shout out 'Shock Dance' - a dance anthems show which takes place on Shock every Saturday from 9pm-midnight, hosted by rotating presenters, and aims to play the biggest dance bangers each week, featuring classics, modern classics and the best dance tracks of today.

<aside> 💡 Note that the timings are now written as if the duration is counting down (as it will be on Zetta), which should make it easier in terms of timing if you wish to do links in between the tracks
